The software offers the complete solution for creating and printing excellent business cards, calling cards and badges.

While many people are reluctant to use self-printed business cards, since they may look less professional and acceptable due to the paper and printing quality, there are some considerations, when you may find that for some particular occasions and purposes, printed cards are acceptable perfectly well.

When Business Card Composer helps you:
  • For a trade show you can create custom business cards to reflect special events and promotions, or simply indicate your booth number.
  • Your phone or e-mail has changed, and you can't wait until your company makes new cards for you.
  • You need to create small runs of cards for temporary staff.
  • You have several jobs and want to have separate cards for each.
  • You want to create a nice card with your contact information to give to the people you meet day to day.

Great flexibility, customization, and convenience of making this cards at home anytime with no associated costs (except for the software itself, paper, and printer ink) makes a strong point in favor of the software use.

Business Card Star allows all the visitors to create professionally looking business cards online for free. There is nothing to download or install on your computer. And you can easily design your own free printable business cards immediately - online! The business card maker creates layouts with either 8 business cards per page or 10 business cards per page, as per your particular needs. The resulting business card templates work with pre-cut business card paper, including Avery business card paper.

This way can be considered as one of the easiest ways to prepare and print your own business cards in convenience of home, while saving money on design and professional shop printing services. The easy-to-print PDFs are a vast improvement on the traditional fill-in free business card templates that you'll find elsewhere.

If you are looking for professional printed business cards, the service also offers high quality printing in either classy silk laminated finish or UV gloss coated business cards. The preloaded design templates can be customized in any color with any custom text you need. There is no need to complete the job in one session as you can save your designs for free on the server, which allows you to access it later for more improvements, or make multiple business cards for different employees of your company.

Here is the step-by-step brief tutorial on how to make your business card (9 steps total):

For the 8 cards per page layout which creates borderless cards, choose Avery papers 8869, 8373, and 5881.

For the 10 cards per page layout (which creates a white border around the cards to insure proper printing) choose Avery papers 8872, 8873, 8874, 8876, 8877, 8878, 8879, 28873, 28877, 5871, 5876, 5877, 5878, 5882, 8374, 8371, 8376, 8377, 8471, 8476, 27871, 5371, 5376, 5377, and 5911.

The cards use standard US letter paper (8.5" x 11"). They do not work with A4 sized Avery templates.

CNET Review

A good-looking business card can be the difference between being taken seriously and coming off as an amateur. With BusinessCards MX you could go either way; although it has some snazzy templates and it's not difficult to create an attractive card, there's the potential for sloppy formatting and bad design.

The program's interface is attractive and quite intuitive, and most users should be able to start making their business cards within moments of first launching the program. BusinessCards MX presents three choices to start with: users can open a template, launch the design wizard, or go directly to the editing interface. The program comes with a variety of templates that are organized by category, including animals, beauty, education, and medical, as well as templates that include some design elements but aren't profession-specific. For the most part these templates are attractive, but some of the themes include some pretty goofy-looking clip art that doesn't exactly scream, "I'm a professional." The program's design wizard lets users choose a layout for the card's text and then manually add backgrounds, images, and other elements. We liked the wizard--it was quite easy to use--but we did note that the address layout seemed to follow the Polish convention of putting the city before the street address. This can be fixed by manually dragging and dropping address elements to rearrange them on the card, but that can create imprecise spacing between elements and lead to a sloppy look if users aren't careful. The editor feature lets users create business cards freehand, a nice touch for those who are a little more comfortable with basic graphic design. The program's built-in Help file is brief but adequate. Overall, BusinessCards MX didn't knock our socks off, but it's not a bad choice for creating basic business cards without a lot of fuss.

BusinessCards MX installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
